Abbey Clancy has revealed that her husband Peter Crouch ‘threatened to leave home’ last March after she brought their Labrador puppy Jeffrey home.

Speaking to Rochelle Humes on her My Little Coco podcast, Abbey, 35, explained: ‘We got a puppy last March. Pete was like: ”If you literally bring one more living thing into this house, I’m gonna leave”.’

She added of her footballer husband, 40: ‘He’s like, ”I’m out of here”.’ Attempting to explain his side of the story, Peter added: ‘The thing is, she said ”you’ll love him when we get him”.’

He went on: ‘But I don’t need to love another thing – there’s loads of love in the house. Don’t give me another thing to love!’

However it seems Peter has since taken to the sweet pooch, with Abbey revealing Jeffrey was asleep on Peter’s feet during the conversation.

    She joked: ‘Don’t listen Jeffrey!’

Abbey also revealed it had been a life-long dream of hers to grow up surrounded by animals.

She explained: ‘I didn’t have any pets growing up, so I’m sort of living all my childhood pet wishes through my kids – it’s not even for them, it’s for me.’

The model continued: ‘I was even looking at teacup goats the other day.’

Hilariously, Peter was quick to stop Abbey’s thought process dead in its tracks, cutting in: ‘I don’t want to be feeding goats unfortunately.’

Jeffrey aside, Abbey and Peter have a full house and share children Sophia, ten, Liberty, six, Johnny, three, and Jack, two.

In June, Peter joked that he and Abbey will not be expanding their family and having any more children.

Peter also shut down any thoughts about adding a fifth baby to their brood, joking that it was already a ‘ridiculous decision’ to have four.

Speaking about having more children in an interview with OK! magazine, he said: ‘God no! Don’t ever have four.

‘It was a ridiculous decision – one that I love and wouldn’t change for the world – but it’s tough.’

It comes after Abbey opened up about her past marital struggles with husband Peter and revealed that at one point ‘he hated me and I hated him’.

The model, who wed the sports star a decade ago, went on to admit that she ‘doesn’t know how’ she got pregnant with their youngest child Jack.

Discussing her last pregnancy, she described the youngster as a ‘gift from God’ as he was conceived while she ‘hated’ her husband.

Speaking on Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe’s Lockdown Parenting Hell podcast, Abbey recalled that at the time, she was ‘finished with three’ children before unexpectedly discovering she was pregnant with her fourth child.

She recalled calling Peter to tell him the baby news, only for him to tell her ‘if you’re going to say what I think you’re going to say, don’t say it.’

Abbey told how she was ‘scared’ about having another child, before Peter eventually came home and said that it was going to be ‘OK’ after he’d had ‘time to think’.

She went on to discuss the growing tension between the pair, adding: ‘We hated each other at that point as well so I don’t even know how I got pregnant to be quite honest.’
