'Action needed': Government admits problems 'need to be addressed' ahead of 2030 car ban


    The report adds problems with electric car infrastructure, price and the supply of new EV’s will also need to be dealt with before road users are confident with making the switch.

    The report said: “Despite significant early progress, action is needed to go further, faster.

    “The market for battery electric vehicles and the necessary charging infrastructure is growing fast.

    “But the barriers of vehicle price and supply, infrastructure provision, and the consumer experience of using that infrastructure, need to be addressed.”
