She’s had a meteoric rise through the ranks of Melbourne’s WAG set after debuting her romance with former Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley.

And ambitious upstart Alex Pike appears to be making a bid for stardom by aligning herself with the scene’s ‘queen bee’ Rebecca Judd.

The cosmetic nurse, 44, went on a liking spree of Rebecca’s Instagram posts last week, in a telling sign the two women are growing closer.

She may be trying to elevate herself to the ‘second in command’ position once held by Bec’s BFF Nadia Bartel, who has gone to ground following her white-powder scandal earlier this month.

A blossoming friendship between Alex and Bec could easily be on the cards as the pair both have experience in the health and beauty market.

After Bec shared a slew of posts last week promoting her new Prene collaboration, Alex liked every single one and even called the mother of four ‘stunning’.

Alex, a mother of three, already had a profile in Melbourne thanks to her thriving cosmetic injectables clinic in South Yarra, but now she’s famous across the country thanks to her relationship with AFL great Nathan.

Her endorsement can make or break the social careers of would-be WAGs – but it remains to be seen if she will officially embrace footy’s latest debutante following her liking spree.

Nadia, the ex-wife of Geelong great Jimmy Bartel, was caught attending an illegal party during Melbourne’s Covid lockdown on September 2.

She and three other women were each fined $5,452 after damning footage of the party was accidentally posted on Instagram by her close friend Ellie Pearson.

But the most humiliating part of the scandal was seeing Nadia, once known for her impeccably clean-cut image, snorting a line of white powder off a $1.50 Kmart plate.

While the 36-year-old wasn’t charged with drug offences because police couldn’t prove what she was snorting, the video nonetheless caused irreparable damage to her brand and she was dropped by major sponsors.

Meanwhile, Alex quickly became the media’s favourite new WAG after going public with Nathan Buckley, who stepped down as Magpies coach in June.

The romance between the new couple, who have known each other since at least the start of the year, is said to be ‘effortless’.

‘They are happy. It’s all good. It’s just very easy and comfortable really. They have a genuine connection,’ a friend said.

The source added that Alex isn’t after fame, and isn’t ‘daunted’ by the attention that comes with being a WAG either.

‘They are just into normal stuff, yoga, natural health, keeping fit and staying positive,’ they said.

Alex is a mother of three based in South Yarra, just outside Melbourne’s CBD, but also has a home and cosmetic clinic in Albury.
