The Stamford planters are also expected on July 11 while the tower fan, which was advertised as being available in store in May, will be available late June.

Aldi’s garden Specialbuys have proved to be extremely popular amongst shoppers, with some waiting in virtual queues for hours at a time.

The discount retailer’s new egg chair, which can fit two people in it, will be available from July 6.

It will be priced at £249.99 and features a rattan design with grey cushions and a steel frame.

In other Aldi news, the retailer announced yesterday that it is changing its own-label fish cake plastic packaging.

The supermarket will be using recycled plastic that has been collected from coastal areas.

Richard Gordon, Plastics and Packaging Director at Aldi UK, said: “These changes will see us use less packaging overall, and also repurpose plastic that could otherwise end up polluting our oceans.

“This is the latest in a series of initiatives we are rolling out to reduce our environmental impact and offer our customers even more environmentally-sustainable options when they shop at Aldi.”
