Alicia Molik apologises to Brynne Edelsten after the socialite left SAS Australia

She quit SAS Australia only six hours into the course.

And now Brynne Edelsten has received an apology from former tennis star Alicia Molik after her ‘showboating’ led to the socialite leaving the hit Seven series

The pair were being interviewed on The Morning Show with Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies when Alicia apologised before the interview even began.

‘Brynne, I owe you an apology because it was the bee sting where you left, that was due to my action up in the helicopter,’ Alicia, 40, said.

‘So I’ve got to apologise for you going out early on day one – it was brutal,’ she added. 

Brynne, 38, who was the first celebrity to leave the show, responded, ‘Yeah, it was so hard, I just couldn’t do it.’

Alicia was accused of not taking the course seriously when she was tasked with pulling herself along a ladder that was dangling under a helicopter.  

She was later ruthlessly grilled by chief drill instructor Ant Middleton, who subsequently ordered all 18 celebrities to do the bee sting challenge – which involves the competitors holding a push-up position while carrying their backpacks. 

This challenge made Brynne quit the show and hand in her number to the DS.

The socialite, who was previously married to the late Geoffrey Edelsten, admits she was disappointed the she didn’t go further on the course.  

‘You know what, I would have liked to have gone further, I was really bummed out that that was as far as I went, and as far as I felt as I could go,’ she said. 

‘Because I really wanted to do my personal best, even if it wasn’t as far as other people went, but I couldn’t I physically could not do it anymore.’ 

SAS Australia continues tonight at 7:30pm on Seven.
