Production on season 10 of FX’s American Horror Story has been halted due to COVID-19.

An actor on the show tested positive for the coronavirus, Variety reported Tuesday, and others have potentially been exposed.

The news of the temporary shutdown comes just one day after Hollywood studios and unions reached a tentative agreement that would allow the relaxation of some protocols put in place last year as a result of the pandemic.

The deal announced Monday would allow producers to mandate vaccinations for cast and crew in the so-called Zone A on a production-by-production basis as well as easing the requirement for masks in outdoor places and reducing testing.

However, Los Angeles Country reinstated a mandatory mask mandate in indoor public places at the weekend regardless of vaccination status due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases driven by the Delta variant.

Other counties in California have followed suit or issued advisories recommending people mask up in indoor settings.
