‘Not too far from it,’ Ant said when asked how close the new contestant’s record comes to Roxy’s.

‘At the end of the day, once we get them there and they actually realise, you can see their little beady eyes knocking around thinking, ‘what the hell have I got involved in?” he added.

‘That shock of capture that we maintain throughout the first I would say at least three or four days is too much for some people.

‘I can’t do it. I actually can’t… My leg’s killing me. I can’t do it,’ the 41-year-old told the instructors as she handed over her armband.

Despite being asked if she was ‘100 per cent sure’, Roxy insisted she couldn’t do it, before breaking down in tears.

‘It’s so f**king painful. I don’t want to give up…’ she cried, as the instructor described her decision to leave as ‘unfortunate’.
