A food recall is issued when there is a discovery made about a certain item that is deemed to be unsafe for the consumer. The latest recall comes from retailers including Asda, Morrisons and Waitrose.

Waitrose isn’t the only supermarket to have issued a recall recently.

Supermarket giant Asda is recalling its Extra Special Lamb Moussaka due to undeclared egg.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.

    Date code:

    – October 14, 2021

    – October 15, 2021

    – October 16, 2021

    – October 17, 2021

Morrisons also has an active food recall on some of its own-brand ice creams.

The supermarket is recalling its Milk Chocolate Amour Ice Creams in a three pack with a best before date of February 2023.

The retailer said: “Morrisons is recalling this product code February 2023 because there is a risk that some packs may contain pieces of plastic. No other products or best before dates are affected.

“Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We do not need a receipt.

“No other products are affected by this issue.

“We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
