Barcelona's new XI under Roberto Martinez with three signings once Ronald Koeman sacked

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman doesn’t have long left at the club if reports are to be believed. And after drawing 0-0 against Cadiz on Thursday night, there is every reason to believe the Dutchman will depart sooner rather than later.

An incredible collapse in last season’s campaign and the financial woes that surround the club have played a huge part in Koeman’s demise.

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has been linked with the hot seat, and with Koeman on his way out of the door he may have his own targets in mind.

Express Sport takes a look at their potential lineup if the Spaniard is appointed.

    Goalkeeper: Ter Stegen

Ter Stegen joined Barcelona in 2014 as an understudy to Victor Valdes, and the German goalkeeper has shone in his time in Catalonia.

And with Frenkie de Jong started to get to grips in Spain, this is a midfield that doesn’t need changing.

    Attack: Depay, Doku, Fati

The signings of Luuk de Jong and Martin Braithwaite were ludicrous to say the least – never mind actually starting them and losing Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann, too.

The signing of Sergio Aguero hasn’t changed much given his tendencies to pick up injuries, as is the same with Ousmane Dembele.

And with a focus on youth clearly on the horizon at Barcelona, Martinez could cherry-pick youngster Jeremy Doku from Rennes after working with him in the Belgian team.
