‘I would go to the gym all the time and then just got hooked, he said.
The father-of-one went on to say that after learning he would be appearing on this year’s season of the Channel Seven reality series he went on an extreme diet.
Transformation: Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday, Mitch said his physique is the result of eight years at the gym after years of getting bullied throughout his schooling
Food for thought: ‘I used to be a real chubby kid back in school and then got bullied heaps so I just sort of had enough of it,’ he said when asked about his fitness journey
‘It was crazy, I was in calorie deficit,’ he said.
‘I ended up losing 10 kilos in six weeks, but just knowing that I was going to be on TV, it was enough motivation to trim right down.’
Mitch, who was eliminated during Wednesday night’s episode went on to say that he felt like he had a target on his back from the second he entered the compound.

‘Pretty much from day one as soon as I popped my head out at the dinner they were like, “wow, you are a big man”, he said.
Big Brother continues Monday at 7.30pm on Channel Seven
Evicted: Mitch was sent home after he received a whopping eight votes. Pictured with fellow housemates Brenton Balicki and Christina Podolyan, who were also up for nomination
