Aussie comedian Chris Franklin – known for his 2000 parody song Bloke – looks unrecognisable as he appears on Sunrise as a quiz contestant

But an unrecognisable Chris Franklin was sighted again on Friday, and in a very unexpected forum.
The 56-year-old stand-up comic made a surprise appearance as a contestant on Sam Mac’s Pub Quiz segment on Sunrise.

Franklin represented Tasmania in the contest against other Australian states and territories, which was held over Zoom.
Weatherman Sam Mac revealed the Sydney-born funnyman had reached out to him over Facebook, asking to represent his adopted home state.
Franklin found fame in 2000 when he released the comedic parody track Bloke.

Franklin revealed he cast the then-unknown comedian because he often opened his own stand-up shows.
