Phoebe’s regency gown featured gold embroidery at the neckline and a delicate tulle overlay, with the look finished off with an embellished gold necklace and earrings.

The star’s auburn tresses were swept up into a graceful up do, topped off with a glittering gold tiara.

Phoebe looked to be in good spirits as she slipped back into character as headstrong Duchess Daphne as she filmed new scenes for the hugely popular programme.

The beauty was seen taking a moment at the Bridgerton family’s grand front door, before making her way down the steps and climbing into a red carriage, which was attended to by footmen.

The first season focused on the romance between Daphne Bridgerton, portrayed by Phoebe, and Simon, Duke of Hastings, the role which Rege-Jean Page bade farewell to last month – to the dismay of his many fans.

Bridgerton has been renewed for a second, third and fourth season with Netflix, and the next season is based on Julia Quinn’s second Bridgerton novel The Viscount Who Loved Me.

The second season will shift the focus to Daphne’s brother Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), who will go on the hunt for a suitable bride when he meets sisters Kate and Edwina Sheffield, renamed Sharma for the show.

While he tries to pursue Edwina he finds himself becoming attracted to Kate instead, despite the fact they are often at odds with each other.

With filming having kicked off this week, fans could hopefully expect a season two release date in 2022 – pandemic permitting.

Phoebe’s scenes as Daphne will no doubt see her cut a solo figure at time as her onscreen husband Simon will no longer appear after actor Rege-Jean Page quit the show.

Fans were left shocked recently when breakout star Page, 31, revealed he wouldn’t be reprising his role as the Duke of Hastings in the groundbreaking period drama.

His appearance came after Bridgerton’s executive producer Shonda ‘dismissed’ the idea of creative differences being the reason behind his exit from the Netflix show.

In a recent interview, she addressed the actor’s departure from the popular period drama for the first time, saying she was ‘shocked’ at the fans’ response to the news.

Yet she shut down talk that she was behind the decision, telling Vanity Fair: ‘There’s a lot of fantastically interesting talk that’s been going on, mainly cause I think people are having a hard time letting go.’

She also dismissed claims that Regé-Jean turned down a deal for cameo appearances in Bridgerton’s second season, after it was reported that his lesser role in the next season was behind his reason to quit the show.

Reiterating that she had only made a one-season deal with the star, Shonda said she didn’t expect ‘this much of an explosion’ from the viewers.

Netflix said in the first 28 days that the show was online, Bridgerton was streamed in 82 million households, and it came as little surprise when it was renewed for a second season in January.
