    British singer Adele reveals her most ‘intimidating’ concert was in Australia as her new song Easy On Me hits number one Down Under


    She’s the British singer who is renowned for her incredible voice which has helped her sell out packed shows across the globe.

    But on Friday, Adele revealed the one place she felt extremely ‘intimidated’ to perform in, and it may come as a surprise to her laid-back Aussie fans.

    During the 33-year-old’s appearance in Vogue’s 73 questions web series, she confessed that performing Down Under in Sydney back in 2017 left her fretting.

    In the playful footage, Adele was asked: ‘Which venue was the most intimidating or terrifying to perform in?’

    Without hesitation, the Hello singer said: ‘I would say, the ANZ stadium in Sydney. It was sitting something like 100,000 [people].’

    At the time, Adele’s 2017 concert made a record for being the largest held event in the country following the Sydney 2000 Olympics. 

    Elsewhere in the interview, the Grammy Award-winning singer admitted that she doesn’t love fame, but joked that it’s harder for people to realise it’s her when she’s out and about, as she looks like a ‘bald eagle’ without her usual stage glam.

    Showing off her sense of humour in the 18-minute long clip, that saw Adele give a tour of her beautiful home across the pond, Adele teased she is like a different person when she’s going about her day-to-day. 

    Comparing herself to a bald eagle, she said: ‘I don’t love [being recognised in public], but ever since 21 came out really… my hair gets bigger, my make-up gets thicker and my dresses get bigger. 

    ‘So that I practically look like a bald eagle or something like that in day-to-day life.’ 

    Despite having some down time in between her musical releases, Adele’s newest single Easy On Me has once again earned it’s number spot on the Aria Singles chart. 

    In her home town, she also broke a second Official UK Chart record with 24million streams this week.

    Adele’s newest an fourth album titled, 30, is available to stream as of November 19 around the world.
