Brittany Hockley reveals why she calls her tennis player boyfriend Jordan Thompson 'slowy'

Brittany Hockley has finally explained her unusual nickname for her boyfriend, Australian tennis player Jordan Thompson.  

The former Bachelor star, 32, calls her beau ‘slowy’, and says the nickname stems from the fact he’s the ‘slowest human’ when it comes to everyday tasks.

It has nothing to do with the 27-year-old’s performance on the court, however.

Brittany is preparing to fly out from Australia soon to meet with Jordan, who is playing in the Halle Open in Germany. 

In the lead-up to her departure, she decided to answer her Instagram followers’ many questions about his nickname. 

‘Jordan is the fastest person on a tennis court, but when he’s not playing tennis he’s literally the slowest human!’ she said on Monday. 

She added that Jordan would ‘probably hate me for saying this’.

Brittany continued: ‘He’s so slow at everything, he’s never in a rush to get anywhere.

‘He eats slowly, he walks slowly, he gets out of bed slowly, he starts his day slowly, he’ll speak slowly. He doesn’t even think fast, he’ll think slowly – he’ll sit on his thoughts. Everything is like sloth crossed with snail.’

Brittany concluded that the nickname stuck because she’s the ‘complete opposite’.

Brittany is gearing up to join Jordan as he competes in more tennis competitions, with Wimbledon next on their radar.

The couple met on celebrity dating app Raya last year.

Brittany previously dated Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins on the sixth season of The Bachelor, and Timm Hanly on the third season of Bachelor in Paradise.
