‘They struggled to show them in a favourable light’: Celebrity Apprentice insiders claim The Veronicas’ worst fights ‘never made it to air’ – after the twins whinged about their ‘bad edit
The Veronicas’ Lisa and Jessica Origliasso have repeatedly criticised Channel Nine over their ‘unfair’ portrayal on Celebrity Apprentice.
But it appears viewers may not have seen half of their bickering and arguments on set, with an insider claiming one explosive row was left on the cutting room floor.
‘Lisa and Jess were not exactly the easiest contestants and left the network struggling to show them in a favourable light,’ the source told New Idea.

For their part, the 36-year-old pop twins accuse Nine of ‘manipulating’ them into joining the show under the guise of ‘charity’, before stitching them up with a ‘bad edit’ to generate drama.
However, an alleged on-set source said their portrayal was actually quite fair and that their biggest spats were ‘omitted in order to salvage their image’.
‘We mainly censored The Veronicas’ worst blow-ups and, believe me, there were more than just a few catty quips between them – certain things never made it to air,’ the insider claimed.
The source went on to allege that Nine threatened to dump the sisters’ 60 Minutes interview unless they agreed to take down their social media attacks on the show.
Drama: According to New Idea, viewers haven’t even seen half of their bickering and fiery outbursts, with an explosive row left on the editing room floor
‘Lisa and Jess were not exactly the easiest contestants and left the network struggling to show them in a favourable life,’ the TV source told New Idea this week
Meanwhile, fellow Celebrity Apprentice star and radio host Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli told Who magazine he knew Lisa and Jessica’s clash with fashion designer Camilla Franks was going to make it onto the show – much to the twins’ disappointment.
‘I knew they’d put The Veronicas in there cracking the poos about the electrician, and that was a hard juggle when it happened,’ he said, referring to scenes that aired last week.
‘These moments are heated and they’re passionate – we’re representing charities so it makes sense that things are going to come with emotion,’ he added.
Tension: Meanwhile their co-star Michael Wipfli told WHO that he knew Nine would air The Veronicas clashing with designer Camilla Franks (pictured)
After their altercation with the ‘Kaftan Queen’, Camilla told her teammates: ‘I’m really annoyed that they questioned my integrity.’
Jessica and Lisa spoke out on Twitter immediately after the episode went to air, lashing out at the show for depicting them as ‘entitled brats’.
They wrote: ‘The fact you edited out all the facts, so we become entitled brats – expecting favours and using our mum’s condition for benefit is truly the lowest you could have gone. I hope you pay your editors well for the souls they sell.
Help: During Tuesday night’s episode, The Veronicas went head-to-head with the fashion designer over her team’s electrician assisting them during a challenge
‘The fact they have edited this to seem like emotional manipulation and blackmailing people for sympathy is awful. Being gaslit on an edit over something so close to our hearts is beyond comprehension.
‘We are grateful there was money made for all the charities involved.’
