Chelsea team news: Expected 4-3-3 line up vs Fulham as Frank Lampard makes six changes

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has no injury concerns ahead of the Blues’ trip to Fulham this evening. The former England international is set to reunite with his former Chelsea team-mate Scott Parker on the sidelines as he looks to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

Fulham have turned their season around in the past six weeks though, meaning this will be no easy game for the Blues.

Chelsea have been struggling of late following defeats to Wolves, Everton, Arsenal and Manchester City.

They cannot afford to lose any further ground on the top-four with Lampard’s position already under threat.

Thankfully, he will have his full squad to pick from besides N’Golo Kante.

Kai Havertz will be looking to nail down a midfield role after impressing against Morecambe.

In attack, Christian Pulisic is expected to come back in for Callum Hudson-Odoi despite his goal against the League Two side.

Hakim Ziyech should also start with Timo Werner as the pair look to kickstart their Chelsea careers following an inconsistent start to life at the club.

Lampard is heading into the game in high spirits and claims his players have been hungry on the training pitch.

“My concern has been training and the atmosphere around that because when you haven’t won for a few games it’s clear the players need to stay positive,” Lampard said.

“That starts from the staff. I have seen good reactions from the players. They have worked hard. We have had two pretty long weeks of training for pretty much the first time this season.

“We have had a chance to work in training on bigger elements of our game. We have worked at a really physical level which is important if you want to improve as a team.

“No matter what squad you have, and particularly if you have young or new players, you need time to work.

“Last season we had that, and even with a young and imbalanced squad we had a long pre-season and moments in the season where we could work.

“Those two weeks have given us a chance to refocus on the basics of our game, what we are and how we want to play. I just want to see those things come through.”

Expected Chelsea XI: Mendy; James, Zouma, Thiago Silva, Chilwell; Jorginho, Mount, Havertz; Pulisic, Ziyech, Werner.
