Letting Kepa go out on loan would not help in that regard – although it would help for another club to be paying some or all of the keeper’s wages.

But his time at the club has been marred by errors, while he also had an infamous disagreement with Maurizio Sarri after refusing to be substituted during the 2019 Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City.
