Cheryl has admitted she ‘fell’ for the Atkins diet as a teen when it was promoted by Jennifer Aniston and she now has no interest in following the actresses’ workout regime.
The singer, 37, told how the diet, which involves cutting out carbs and eating as much protein and fat as you want, was the worst one she ever tried while she has also decided Jennifer’s dedication to fitness is not for her.
Speaking to Marie Claire, Cheryl said: ‘The Atkins diet, years ago, when I was a teen. I fell for that one. It was Jennifer Aniston telling us all to do it.’

Cheryl was asked if she thinks people sometimes think they should workout like their favourite celebrity rather than finding what works for them.
She said: ‘Do you know what, I absolutely agree. It doesn’t mean you love them any less. I look at Jennifer Aniston[‘s diet and workout regime] and say, thanks, but no thanks. Thanks for the advice, but it’s not for me. I still love her.’
Jennifer previously told Women’s Health she usually wakes up everyday at 9am and works out five times a week.
The Morning Show star is also a fan of intermittent fasting, an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating.

She previously told Radio Times: ‘I do intermittent fasting, so no food in the morning. I noticed a big difference in going without solid food for 16 hours.’
Jennifer is also known to be a fan of yoga and has previously enjoyed boxing as part of her exercise regime.
Cheryl also spoke about her food habits, saying she only eats when she is hungry and allows herself a takeaway meal once every week or second week.
The hitmaker said she also usually forgoes meat three or four days every week and is a fan of vegan food.

Cheryl thinks people need to change their mindset around food and don’t think of ‘eating good’ or ‘eating bad’, adding that people can be very harsh on themselves.
She said: ‘I had this conversation with my sister-in-law last week. She keeps saying that her jeans don’t fit anymore. I said, “ok, get the bigger size.” Your wardrobe doesn’t fit – let’s accept that. Get some new ones. Are you happier like this? Does anything else matter? Get the size 27 – no one cares.’
Cheryl said becoming a mother to her son Bear, four, who she shares with ex Liam Payne, has changed he, saying she realised how some of the stuff she cared about before doesn’t really matter.
The star also has no plans to go back to being as busy as she was when she was juggling her music career with TV commitments, saying she won’t spend time on anything that makes her feel stressed or nervous.

It comes amid reports that Cheryl doesn’t want her son Bear to follow in his parents showbiz footsteps.
Liam, 27, recently spoke about Cheryl’s desires for their four-year-old child, including her hopes he will be a ‘yoga person’.
The Strip That Down hitmaker said On the Diary Of A CEO podcast, where he also revealed he’s called off his engagement to Maya Henry, 21, that he is also unsure whether he would want Bear to take part in reality shows like he did.
Liam applied for The X-Factor in 2008, where he first met Cheryl, but was rejected at judges house and rocketed to fame with One Direction when he returned to the show in 2010.

‘This is a tricky one. I think his mum hopes he’s going to be this yoga person. His mum is very chilled these days,’ Liam said.
‘I would never stop him but I would let him know the risks. My parents did not experience what I had. I want him to do something he enjoys doing every day.’
The couple, who split in June 2018 after two and a half years together and co-parent Bear, have largely kept their son’s life hidden from the public eye.
Cheryl has shared only glimpses of her little boy since his birth in 2017, however Liam did discuss connecting more with their son during lockdown.
Whirlwind romance: Cheryl and Liam welcomed Bear in March 2017 but confirmed the end of their romance in July 2018 (the former One Director star is pictured with his baby son)
Last April, he told Capital FM: ‘Most of all through this lockdown it’s been difficult to see Bear at certain points but I’ve actually connected with my son a bit more, which is fantastic.’
He also chatted about fatherhood during an Instagram Live in January, admitting it’s been ‘hard’ visiting his son as despite only living ‘up the street’ he has to ensure he’s tested negative first.
Liam’s latest revelations about his and Cheryl’s hopes for their son comes as the popstar gave fans a candid insight into his life as he discussed his wild ‘pills and booze phase’ during his One Direction days.
Speaking with Steven Bartlett on the Diary of a CEO podcast, Liam also revealed he is unable to carry out basic everyday tasks and still ‘feels like a child’ despite his £500 million net worth.

First meeting: Liam’s most high profile romance was with singer Cheryl, who is 10 years his senior. They first crossed paths on the X Factor in 2008 when she was 24 and he was 14
Liam admitted that during his time in One Direction he struggled with addiction and mental health issues that he has kept secret, until now.
The group, formed of Liam, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik was formed on The X Factor in 2010, and they went on to become the biggest boyband in the world before their split in 2015.
Yet Liam struggled to stay sober on tour, confessing: ‘There were a few pictures of me on a boat and I was all bloated out and I call it my pills-and-booze face.
‘My face was 10 times bigger than it is now. The problem was, the best way to secure us was to lock us in our rooms, and what is in the room? A mini-bar.
‘So I had a party-for-one that seemed to carry on for years. It was wild but the only way you could get frustration out.’
