‘So important for our hearts’: Christina Perri set to pay tribute to late daughter Rosie with lullaby album … almost a year after tragic pregnancy loss
Christina Perri said she’s set to put out a new album of lullabies titled Songs for Rosie in memory of her late daughter Rosie, nearly a year after her tragic pregnancy loss with husband Paul Costabile.
‘Releasing these songs for Rosie is so important for our hearts,’ the 35-year-old singer told 1 million followers Wednesday on Instagram, along with art from the forthcoming project.
‘My daughter, Rosie, was born silent on November 24th 2020,’ said the Bensalem, Pennsylvania native, who is also mother to daughter Carmella, three.

Perri said that Rosie’s ‘short and powerful life already served such a huge purpose in our world, and she has lovingly changed me, Paul and Carmella forever.’
Perri said the family is ‘more capable of love and compassion than we ever knew we could be,’ and ‘learned how to hold space for loss and how to navigate unimaginable grief together and music always heals.’
She told her followers she hopes that the album would resonate with them in their personal lives.
‘I hope you enjoy these songs that we’re singing for her, I hope you play them to your families in her honor,’ she said. ‘I hope you’re inspired to think of anyone you may keep in your heart and most of all to, Rosie, our darling girl, we love you forever. Come find us again soon.’

Perri has opened up about her emotional healing in the wake of her pregnancy loss, as in July she said on Instagram she felt she ‘would never be ok again.
‘I thought I would never laugh or play again or dance again or love again… and for lots of months I didn’t,’ she said. ‘But then I started trying to heal and learn how to live with the pain and grief right along side of the love & joy.
‘How to find even the tiniest purpose in our tragedy and to find something to learn and grow from and grow towards.’
She said that amid the ‘challenging and exhausting,’ she found solace in ‘the power of inner work and healing.
‘One day I’ll tell you the whole story,’ she said. ‘It’s a doozy.’
Perri said that Songs for Rosie would be released on November 24.
