Another person added: “A FRESH LEMON. It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever tried and I will forever use it for stubborn limescale. It’s off my taps and glass etc…

“Get as much of the juice on the area and leave for 30 minutes after that get a scrub daddy and scrub, you can actually see the limescale lifting away, then rinse! It gives me so much joy.”

Another person said: “I had the same problem, I rubbed over with lemon first, left for 15 minutes then sprayed with Viakal and left for 15 minutes.”

Other simple solutions included using white vinegar or washing up liquid.

One person said: “I swear by washing up liquid it’s fantastic just smear it on leave for hour wipe it off you will be amazed.”

Another replied: “Looks like hard water. White vinegar or cleaning vinegar works well and can be left on if you are having a tough time bending down.”

Another user said to use both white vinegar and washing up liquid.

They replied: “White vinegar and fairy liquid, scrub on and leave then rinse.

“Replicate until it’s done. Works wonders for us!”
