Cleaning: Mrs Hinch fans share rhubarb hack for removing burnt food from pots and pans

Mrs Hinch, whose full name is Sophie Hinchliffe, rose to fame after sharing her cleaning and tidying tips with the nation. Now, Mrs Hinch has over 4.1 million followers on Instagram and has authored several books. Fans of hers have created several groups dedicated to sharing cleaning and tidying tips.

However, the most popular response was to boil up some white vinegar and water in the saucepan.

One user said: “Water and white vinegar, boil it up for a while.

“Most of it should boil off.”

Another person said: “Bring vinegar to the boil, turn it off, then add a good tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda.”

Another cleaning fan said: “I use water and vinegar, bring to the boil, then tip it away and use tin foil to rub the pan, gets it off really easily.”

One of the most unusual responses was to leave the saucepan out on wet grass.

They said: “My mother swore by leaving the burnt saucepan upside down on the grass overnight.

“It’s much easier to clean then and restore to normal.”
