He added a pair of loose fitting jeans and a pair of white adidas trainers to complete the ensemble.

Busy running errands, Colin had hung his reading glasses onto the collar of his shirt as he walked with shopping in both hands.

Keep Covid safe, the actor sported a black protective face mask as he left the supermarket.

Colin wore another headband tied around his wrist as a back up in case his bandana failed him on the outing.

Colin is back on the West Coast after travelling to Australia last month to film Ron Howard’s upcoming drama Thirteen Lives.

He stars in the film, which also features Viggo Mortenson and Joel Edgerton, as the British cave diver John Volanthen, who was instrumental in helping to rescue a Thai junior soccer team and their coach after they became trapped in a cave when rising waters from rains flooded it and blocked their exit.

It took two weeks to save them, with more than 1,000 divers, soldiers and volunteers helping out.

All 13 trapped people were eventually rescued, though two divers lost their lives as a result of the rescue.

Filming began in Queensland in March, with the Gold Coast hinterland doubling for Thailand.

Production of the film is expected to inject more than $96million into the local economy, and will create jobs for 435 cast and crew members, as well as an additional 3,400 background actors.

Last month, it was announced that Colin would be reuniting with Rachel Weisz, his costar in the dark romantic comedy The Lobster, for another dark comedy titled Love Child.

The Oedipal film, directed by Storytelling’s Todd Solondz, concerns a precocious child who schemes to get rid of his oafish father so that he can keep his mother, until an attractive stranger arrives and shakes up his plans.

‘This is my first movie with a plot and my first movie taking place in Texas. It’s fun and it’s sexy and it’s shaped by the Hollywood movies that made me want to become a filmmaker,’ Solondz said in a statement.

‘I’ve loved Rachel and Colin’s work forever, and am so honored to be able to excite their passion for serious and unexpected work as well.’
