‘Feels like yesterday…’: Courteney Cox, 56, wears the SAME blue overalls and red shirt she wore to play Monica Geller on Friends over 20 years ago
Courteney Cox transformed into Monica Geller in a video that was shared to her Instagram account on Thursday.
In the clip, the 56-year-old actress was seen wearing her iconic overalls before sitting down and posing for a shot, after which an image of her character wearing the same outfit was shown.
Hours before the video was shared, the long-awaited Friends reunion special made its debut on the HBO Max streaming service and was met with mostly positive reviews.

Cox contrasted the light blue shade of her overalls with an eye-catching red shirt in the video.
Her gorgeous brunette hair cascaded onto her shoulders in the clip, and she also accessorized with a pair of bracelets.
The actress also wrote a brief message in the post’s caption that read: ‘Feels like yesterday…’
The actress shared the video to her account on the same day as the premiere of the much-anticipated Friends reunion special, which was also released as The One Where They Got Back Together.

Development on the episode began in 2019 when it was reported that Warner Bros. Television was actively working on getting the show’s cast back together for a one-off project.
In February of last year, it was confirmed that all of the series’ stars would be reuniting for the special and that co-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane would be returning as executive producers.
Physical production on the episode was initially set to begin in March of last year, although the onset of the global pandemic forced the crew to delay work on the project.
Quick process: Development on the episode began in 2019, and it was confirmed that the entire cast would be returning for the special the following year
Shooting was then pushed to August, although the team decided to postpone filming for a second time due to safety concerns.
Production eventually began in April and commenced at Stage 24, also referred to as The Friends Stage, at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California.
Although the special episode was initially set to premiere in May of last year, it was pushed back to 2021 due to the multiple delays in production.
The reunion premiered on Thursday and featured appearances from several guest stars, including Lady Gaga, David Beckham and Tom Selleck, among numerous others.

James Michael Tyler and Maggie Wheeler, who acted in the original series, both showed up during the episode.
During the special, several revelations about the cast and their characters were made, and it was expressed that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer both had crushes on each other during filming and chose to repress their feelings.
It was also made clear that Geller and Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry, were not originally supposed to end up as a couple, although test reactions showed the producers that their dynamic was popular with audiences.
Cox concluded the special by remarking that the episode would be the last time that any of the actors would discuss the show together and that a continuation of the series would not happen under any circumstances.
