Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik stun royal fans on final day of Vietnam tour

    Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary and her husband Crown Prince Frederik concluded their tour of Vietnam on Thursday. The goal of the visit was to strengthen business relations between Denmark and Vietnam.

    The pair spent a portion of their first day in Vietnam in Hanoi and conducted a sombre visit to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum.

    The visit to the Mausoleum came before the Danish royals were officially welcomed by Vietnam’s President Nguyễn Xuân Phúc at the Presidential Palace, as is tradition in the country.

    The official reception with Vietnam’s President marked the 50th anniversary of the formation of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Denmark.

    Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik then went to a number of conferences which promoted green energy and sustainability.

    The pair headed a business delegation made up of 36 companies from Denmark which promoted the use of greener energy and the strengthening of relations.

    The royal trip stunned fans with many praising the couple on their official Instagram account.

    Instagram user @larslauritsen commented: “Incredibly beautiful pictures of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary.”

    To conclude the first day, the pair were made dinner by Vietnamese chef Hoang Tung whose menu commemorated Danish cuisine, followed by a gala performance at the Opera House.

    Crown Princess Mary gave a speech at the performance and the following day saw the couple attend a number of events including LEGOs ‘Build the Change’ event and a tour of Tam Chúc to learn about tourism in the area.

    The Crown Princess’s devotion to sustainability saw the royal re-wearing her most-loved outfits over the days of the visit including a cream Elise Gug blouse she has worn since 2013.
