Dakota Johnson relaxes with boyfriend Chris Martin during romantic getaway to Palma

She has been filming an adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion in the UK in recent weeks.

And during a break from shooting, Dakota Johnson jetted for a romantic getaway with her boyfriend Chris Martin to Palma, Mallorca, where they were spotted taking a boat ride and soaking up the local sights.

The Fifty Shades Of Grey actress, 31, cut a casually chic figure in a loose-fitting floral blouse, which she teamed with a pair of shorts and slip on sandals.

The daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith toted her belongings in a canvas shopper bag, which was covered in a colourful cartoon fruit print.

The couple were seen putting on a rare public display of affection as they linked arms while walking around the Spanish town.

Chris opted for a laid back summer look as he rocked a plain navy T-shirt and sports, choosing to forgo shoes as he walked barefoot alongside his A-list girlfriend.

The singer was wearing a baseball cap and carried his items in a bag, while he appeared to also be sporting a knee support while out and about with Dakota.

The couple appeared in high spirits as they boarded an inflatable boat and seemingly enjoyed a water tour of the area.

Dakota co-stars alongside Richard E. Grant and model Suki Waterhouse in the ‘modern, witty’ version of Austen’s classic tale for Netflix.

She was previously seen shooting scenes for the movie – which features a diverse ‘colour-blind’ cast – in Dorset.

It is one of two rival versions of Persuasion in the works, with the other starring Sarah Snook, best known as Shiv Roy in Sky Atlantic’s hit drama Succession.

Austen’s last completed novel tells the story of a woman who defies society’s rules by remaining unmarried at 27, choosing to live with her near-bankrupt family instead of tying the knot because she still holds a torch for Capt Wentworth.

It was last adapted for ITV in 2007 with Sally Hawkins taking the role of Anne.
