He returned to Neighbours last year to replace Tim Robards in the role of Pierce Greyson.

And Don Hany admits that while he’s playing a character with a complicated past, he felt at home as soon as he returned to the Melbourne set.

‘It’s like putting on a pair of old socks… There’s a lot of familiarity about it and you know how lucky you are straight away to be coming back,’ the 45-year-old actor told TV Week.

He also went on to explain that Pierce is keen to see how things are going with his son and ex-wife Chloe Brennan (played by April-Rose Pengilly), after he had an illicit affair with Dipi (played by Sharon Johal).

‘He’s a bit curious about what’s going on with Chloe, but I think he really wants to know, how things have progressed with his son,’ he added.

Don also warned fans that drama is set to unfold as Chloe has now moved in with her mum Nicolette Stone.

His character is worried that his former flame Chloe ‘has hurried into the relationship… Also, he doesn’t trust Nicolette.’

Don’s acting reel includes some of Australia’s most popular dramas, including Underbelly, Picnic at Hanging Rock and White Collar Blue.

Perhaps one his most iconic roles to date was Dr. Chris Havel, the love interest of Dr Nina Proudman played by Asher Keddie on Offspring.

In the same interview with TV Week, Don also admitted that he wouldn’t say no to a reboot of the popular Channel Ten show.

‘I’d be so up for that, it would be so much fun,’ he said.

‘There are a lot of things that would have to fall into place for something like that to happen but I’d be excited to be a part of it.’

Neighbours airs weeknights and some weekends on 10Peach.
