The former US President doubled down on previous claims he is working on his own memoir. But key people in the US publishing sector countered his claims on Tuesday.
The insiders told Politico no major firms are willing to publish his book.
The reason, according to them, is that the release could spark “a staff uprising” and it would be “too hard to get a book that was factually accurate”.
The 45th President made his intentions to write a book clear last week in a statement.
In the statement, he claimed he “turned down two book deals, from the most unlikely of publishers.”
However, Mr Trump did not specify who said publisher was.
He added: “I do not want a deal right now. I’m writing like crazy anyway, however, and when the time comes, you’ll see the book of all books.”
Ever since Mr Trump left the White House, speculation has been rife regarding his next professional steps with some of his statements suggesting he could chose to return to politics.
Earlier this month, he released a video statement to his supporters thanking them for “the love and affection” shown to him following his departure from the Oval Office.
