EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite reveals 'would leave her partner Tom Child if he wanted children'

She has been happily loved-up with a film director who is 20 years her junior for the past four years. 

But Tamzin Outhwaite revealed on Sunday that she would end her relationship with her beau Tom Child if he revealed he wanted children. 

The EastEnders star, 50, told The Sun: ‘He really doesn’t want kids but if he said, “Babe, I really want to have children”, then why would I stop him doing that?’

Tamzin met Tom outside a yoga class four years ago and the couple currently live together with the actress’ daughters. 

The soap star is already mum to Florence, 13 and Marnie, 9, from her marriage to the actor Tom Ellis. 

She explained of her decision to keep her brood to two: ‘I’ve got two [children]. I’ve really got to keep my eye on the ball keeping these two well, alive and healthy. 

‘I’m not having any more. No way. I’m done,’ she added.

Tamzin explained that her and Tom’s relationship works despite their age difference because she’s young at heart. 

The actress said that she still feels as though she’s in her twenties and that even her father told her to slow down now that she’s 50. 

But Tamzin admitted she loves being spontaneous and that Tom is actually more mature than her.

Tamzin also shared in the candid interview that she has no desire to re-marry because she is enjoying her freedom. 

The EastEnders star – who shot to fame for playing Mel Owen from 1998 to 2019 – split from her Miranda star husband Tom T in 2014 after he admitted to cheating with the Lost actress Emilie de Ravin. 

She admitted in a 2015 interview with Essentials Magazine that there was more to the split than just an act of infidelity.

She said at the time: ‘I wouldn’t not be with my husband over a one-night stand is all I’ll say.’

Tom tied the knot with his now wife Meaghan in a romantic woodland ceremony in Santa Ynez in 2019. 

The couple wedded in front of their loved ones at the Grassini Family Winery, a beautiful vineyard on Genuine Risk Road nestled in Happy Canyon.

They have been together since 2015 and announced their engagement earlier that year, half a decade after his divorce from Tamzin. 

Meanwhile, Tamzin is now happy with her boyfriend Tom and has stressed she will not let their age gap get in the way of him ‘living his life’.
