The US Open winner was photographed with her father, Ian, who is originally from Romania. Emma smiles broadly at the camera and waves whilst her father, who is carrying a coat and bottle of water, keeps his head down.

Britain’s first grand slam winner since 1977 is wearing a white sporting t-shirt that extends just below the shoulder and is complete with red edging.

She combines this with red and dark blue running trousers; and a red, white and dark blue baseball cap.

The 18-year-old was pictured in Bromley where she lives with her mother and father.

Emma defeated Canadian Leylah Fernandez 6-4 6-3, to win the US Open women’s single’s title on September 11.

Virginia Wade, the last British grand slam winner, was watching from the stands.

Ms Wade won Wimbledon in 1977, along with the US Open in 1968.

Emma was born in Toronto to a Chinese mother but grew up in London.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, her parents were unable to attend her US Open final but instead watched the contest from home.
