    And now, star Lisa Kudrow has spoken about her close bond with her castmates ahead of the special, which has also been dubbed The One Where They Get Back Together.

    Speaking to News Corp, the 57-year-old actress spoke about how ‘rare’ it is for a cast to genuinely like each other and get along, and spilled some details about the reunion episode and how it all came together.

    ‘I didn’t realise until the show ended how rare it is how much this cast get along together and how much we still love each other,’ Lisa said, having portrayed eccentric Phoebe Buffay in the hit American sitcom.

    She added: ‘That’s pretty great and in [the reunion show], we’re going to be reminiscing and celebrating the series.’

    Lisa added that ahead of the reunion, the cast, including herself, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, all jumped on a call and couldn’t stop laughing as they spoke to one another.

    ‘The first time we were on a call together, we could barely stay on topic because we kept making each other laugh,’ Lisa said.

    Lisa added that fans can expect to hear about a number of behind the scenes moments of the hit show in the reunion special and called it ‘fun.’

    Meanwhile the cast revealed on Good Morning America on Tuesday how emotional it was for them to be back on set of the show, 17 years after it ended.

    ‘I don’t think they – the – any of us had any idea how emotional we would be when we walked onto the set,’ Courteney said. 

    ‘To see it exactly the way it was, the – literally besides the cookie jar that Lisa took home and the neon coffee thing that Jen took. Besides that, it was exactly the same. And it was so emotional that we just started crying.’

    Matthew Perry, 51, added: ‘Reuniting this cast again – I knew it was gonna be a really seriously emotional experience. And it has been.’ 

    Lisa added: ‘Truth is, I didn’t cry walking out onto the set. And now I can’t stop.’ 

    Australian fans can stream the Friends reunion live on BINGE on May 27.
