Heather Locklear, 59, glows as she sends an optimistic message to Britney Spears while at LAX

Heather Locklear had a message for fellow star Britney Spears as she touched down at LAX on Sunday. 

The 59-year-old actress looked happy and healthy as she arrived back in Los Angeles while with fiancé Chris Heisser.

Heather, who is now sober after years of struggling with mental health and addiction, was full of optimism as she addressed Spears’ current legal situation, telling one photographer: ‘The light is coming.’

Heather looked low-key in a black tank top and flowy pants, both perfectly suited for a flight.

Keeping a low-profile, she pulled a baseball cap over her blonde locks and hid her face behind a mask.

Though the celeb was mostly casual, she added a designer touch with a Louis Vuitton tote that featured blue accents. 

While making her way to her car, she was approached by a photographer who asked for Heather’s opinion on Spears’ recent conservatorship struggles.

‘I wish her luck,’ she said, adding that while she doesn’t know the pop star she’d tell her ‘God bless you, God bless you. A light is coming.’

Locklear has endured her fair share of struggles, largely avoiding the spotlight since pleading no contest to eight misdemeanor battery and resisting charges in 2019 stemming from two arrests in 2018.

The charges included five counts of battery on a peace officer, one count of battery on an Emergency Medical Technician and two counts of resisting arrest. 

Locklear was arrested in a February 2018 incident in connection with battery and obstruction when authorities said she was belligerent with police who showed up to her home amid a domestic violence call. 

That June, she was arrested again for allegedly verbally and physically abusing an ambulance EMT who responded to her home following a call for help.

Then in November 2018, she was placed on a 5150 hold after her therapist determined that she was experiencing a mental breakdown. She entered rehab the following month.

In April 2020, she celebrated one year of sobriety and a friend told People that Locklear ‘is in a great place.’

‘She is doing great and looks great,’ her pal said. ‘What’s most important is today and the next day and the future and she’s in a great place.’

Heather and Chris dated in the late ’70s at Newbury Park High School, went through multiple marriages and have had their share of ups and downs since getting back together in the fall of 2017.

The couple were once a item before Locklear went on to marry rockers Tommy Lee from 1986-1993 and Richie Sambora from 1994-2007, with whom she has a daughter, Ava, 23.
