    House of the Dragon will take place around 300 years before the Game of Throne series, which ended in 2019.

    And on Thursday, actor Matt Smith, 38, was pictured as Prince Daemon Targaryen on the set of the highly anticipated fantasy drama series on a beach in Cornwall.   

    In what looks to be a possible spoiler, his character appeared to be dead on the shore with a large sword piercing his stomach.

    Matt of Doctor Who fame, transformed into character by sporting a long ice-blonde wig, a long black jacket and knee-high boots.   

    It had already been confirmed that filming for House of the Dragon would take place in the UK at Leavesden Studios, which is owned by Warner Bros.
