The reveal comes after Jackman proved he was a Sydney boy at heart as he supported the Blues in Wednesday night’s State of Origin.

The Prisoners star shared a series of photos to Instagram as he watched the football game from his home in New York.

In one picture, Hugh posted an image of his TV screen and wrote: ‘C’mon the Blues!’

New South Wales have drawn first blood in the 2021 State of Origin Series against Queensland, wrapping up game one 50-6 in a humiliating defeat.

It was the first-ever State of Origin match played in Townsville, with a capacity crowd of about 30,000 screaming Queenslanders on hand to cheer the Maroons.

Last year, Hugh revealed he was homesick for Australia after a lengthy lockdown in New York City due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Deborra-Lee and the couple’s children had initially been in Melbourne when COVID-19 was declared a pandemic in March 2019.

But they returned to the U.S. just four days later in order to keep the family together.
