The former motorcycle racer bought the Thoresway track near Caistor, Lincolnshire around six months ago. He says he has hired “the best” to get the track up and running, with the aim of holding the British Motocross Grand Prix there in years to come.
In a YouTube video for his followers, Guy from South Killingholme said: “My relationship with Thoresway was when I worked in Caistor.
“Most people know it as Caistor, they don’t know it as Thoresway – it’s always been a legendary place.
“Every time you go past it, you look at the track and wonder what’s going on, trying to see who’s riding on it.
“Then I come and rode here and ended up riding for Honda. I used to ride here, I was cr*p but I loved it, I used to get home and be knackered.

Johnny said: “It’s an amazing landscape, it’s got some really aggressive hills and it’s better than some Grand Prix tracks.
“It’s a uniquely extraordinary landscape and I’m hoping people will love it.
“We’ve been given the remit to give it the business.
“The landscape is unique. A prerequisite of decent motocross is to have an extraordinarily unique landscape.
“When you get chance to work on a track like this it is a joy because you know people are going to love it when you finish and we get a kick out of that.
“It is a compressed venue and you could potentially have a grand prix here. It is a much smaller venue but the benefit of that is you get a hell of an atmosphere if you squash 10,000 people in the valley, the noise will be phenomenal.”
Currently, the Motocross Grand Prix of Great Britain is held at the Matterley Basin track in Winchester.
Guy admitted he’s very excited and can’t wait to see where the track goes.
He invited some of Britain’s best motocross riders to be the first to test it out, and received positive feedback.
Guy added: “We want to be a race track and we want to be the best in the country and we want the British Grand Prix there.
“If it takes a year, 10 years, that’s where we are.
“We aren’t over egging the pudding here. I’m not being far wrong if you talk to Alfie, Johnny they build the best tracks in the country and they say this is the best track.
“We have just had the best riders in the country and they are saying the same.
“We have got the potential for the best track in the country – it’s happening.”
