Inside Kate Middleton & Prince William's 10-bedroom country manor house – Anmer Hall

Anmer Hall is a 10-bedroom country home on the Queen’s privately-owned Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England. The home was a wedding gift to Prince William and Kate Middleton from the Queen when they got married, and they lived there full-time until 2017. Then, they moved permanently to Kensington Palace so they could spend the majority of their time in London.

Royal fans were given a tour of the gardens when the Duke and Duchess released a video of themselves playing with their children to mark their 10th wedding anniversary.

Features included a Wendy house, a wooden seesaw and a large lawn surrounded by plants.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge unveiled the doorway of Anmer Hall when they clapped for the NHS during BBC’s Big Night In.

The property had an old wooden doorway with red brick and wall lights on either side. A pair of plants sat at the sides of the door.

    DON’T MISS:

The Cambridges’ annual Christmas card for 2020 showed a log pile in their garden, suggesting they have fireplaces inside the property.

When Prince William and Kate joined virtual interviews from Anmer Hall together during lockdown, it seemed their living room was their preferred spot.

It was decorated with pale green walls and had a large white arched doorway.

As the Duchess of Cambridge announced details of her photography competition in 2020, she did so from a space in the home with cream curtains and cream walls.

In 2015, the family released a photo of Princess Charlotte giving a look at the living space in Anmer Hall.

It showed a green and yellow checked chair and cream floors and walls.

The following year, more photos of Princess Charlotte in honour of her first birthday showed another room in the house.

It featured a wicker chair, and behind Charlotte was a large cream striped sofa with bright patterned cushions.

Outside, the family have plenty of space for the children to enjoy and are reported to have climbing frames, a climbing wall, and swings.

The royal line of succession – who outranks who?

The line of succession to the British throne dictates the order in which each member of the Royal Family would ascend to the throne.

It is also seen as a ranking of importance with the head of the line, the Queen, taking the place of ruler.

Older children come before younger children. Traditionally boys came before girls, but this law was changed on March 26, 2015 before the birth of Prince William’s first child.

Incredibly, Catholics are still excluded from the line of succession, as are children born outside of wedlock.

The royals, who usually stick to a strict protocol when appearing in public, often arrive at events in ascending order of importance, with the most important royal arriving last.

Prince Charles, 72, is currently first-in-line to the British throne, followed by Prince William, 39, his oldest son.
