Australian radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals why she’s now anti-Meghan Markle after spending months defending the Duchess in the wake of the Oprah royal interview scandal
After months of defending the Duchess of Sussex, Australian radio host Jackie O Henderson has now decided that she’s ‘anti-Meghan Markle.’
The 46-year-old got into a heated discussion about the royals with her KIIS FM co-host Kyle Sandilands on Thursday, conceding she’s changed her mind on Meghan.
Although she was sympathetic at the time of Meghan’s now-infamous Oprah Winfrey interview, Jackie admitted: ‘The more I sit back and think about it, the more I don’t like what happened there.’
It’s OVER: After months of defending the Duchess of Sussex, Australian radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson said on Thursday she is now ‘anti-Meghan Markle’
The radio hosts were discussing Prince Harry’s latest sit-down with Oprah Winfrey from last Friday, when Kyle pointed out that Jackie ‘loves’ the royals and he doesn’t get what all the fuss is about.
‘Remember when we thought Harry was going to get with Britney Spears?’ he asked, in reference to rumours that plagued the Prince during his wild teen years.
‘Well I think he’s gone the wrong way anyway. I think he’s made a mistake with Meghan,’ Jackie replied. Kyle was stunned at his co-host’s backflip.
Time doesn’t heal all wounds: Although she was sympathetic at the time of Meghan’s now-infamous Oprah Winfrey interview, Jackie admitted: ‘The more I sit back and think about it, the more I don’t like what happened there’
The self-confessed Princess Kate super-fan cited Meghan’s claims during the Oprah interview that Kate ‘made her cry at her wedding.’
‘I thought she threw Kate under the bus in that interview. I thought that was really unnecessary,’ she said.
Jackie agreed with Kyle that Meghan had mental health issues and it was possible that Kate was being ‘a b***h’ on the Duchess’ wedding day.

Under the bus: ‘I thought she threw Kate under the bus in that interview. I thought that was really unnecessary,’ she said.
‘Well, you know what, don’t throw her under the bus. Because it’s unnecessary. Like she even said [later in the interview] “I don’t dislike Kate, she apologised” so really…’
‘The more I sit back and think about that interview, the more I don’t like what happened there.’
‘I don’t mind Harry,’ Jackie confessed. ‘I don’t know. I’m torn. I think they should be able to say what they want but I just didn’t like what Meghan said about Kate.’
Kyle was defensive of Meghan, saying the Duchess was on the verge of suicide. He said his issue lies with Harry and his latest ‘attack on the Queen’ – a reference to Harry’s comments in Apple TV’s The Me You Don’t See last Friday.
Agree to disagree: Jackie agreed with Kyle that Meghan had mental health issues and it was possible that Kate was being ‘a b***h’ on the Duchess’ wedding day, but added: ‘Well, you know what, don’t throw her under the bus. Because it’s unnecessary. Like she even said [later in the interview] “I don’t dislike Kate, she apologised” so really…’
‘I don’t know what’s going to happen with this whole thing – but if he keeps b***hing about his granny, and she dies, I’ll be very angry,’ he said of comments Harry made last Friday.
Jackie is a self-confessed Princess Kate super-fan and conceded her bias may have clouded her judgement.
‘He said he father hated the way his father brought him up, that his father brought him up that way and he’s “ending the trauma now.”‘
‘That means his grandmother and grandfather. He’s having a go at her. She’s 100-years-old for God’s sake!’
Unsure on Harry: ‘I don’t mind Harry,’ Jackie confessed. ‘I don’t know. I’m torn. I think they should be able to say what they want but I just didn’t like what Meghan said about Kate’
