    Jake Gyllenhaal kept it casual for a trip to the a barbershop in Beverly Hills.

    The 40-year-old performer appeared to be enjoying his stylish new haircut as he stepped into his car and made his way towards the city’s sunny streets on Wednesday afternoon.

    The actor’s outing comes just a few weeks after a trailer for the forthcoming feature Ambulance, in which he is currently set to appear, was released to the public.

    Gyllenhaal put comfort first as he wore a light purple crewneck sweater on top of a t-shirt during his outing.

    The Nightcrawler star contrasted his tops with a pair of wide-legged brown pants and a set of white sneakers.

    He accessorized with a stylish pair of sunglasses and sported a black facial covering for the duration of his time in public.

    Gyllenhaal is currently set to appear in Ambulance, which was directed by Michael Bay.

    The thriller feature is based on the 2005 feature of the same name that was helmed by Laurits Munch-Petersen.

    The film is centered on a veteran who takes on a multimillion-dollar bank heist with his adoptive brother in an effort to raise funds for his wife’s surgery.

    When their plans go wrong and a police officer is shot, they hijack an ambulance and take both the cop and an EMT as their hostages.

    In addition to Gyllenhaal, the feature stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Eiza Gonzalez and Garret Dillahunt, among others.

    The project began being worked on in 2015, when it was announced that Philip Noyce would helm the film.

    The filmmaker later dropped the movie, and Bay signed on to fill the director’s chair last year.

    Gyllenhaal was first reported to have been involved with the project in November of last year, and Abdul-Mateen II notably replaced Dylan O’Brien during the pre-production stage.

    Principal photography commenced this past January, with Los Angeles being the primary filming location.

    After several months of work, the feature’s team eventually wrapped this past March.

    The trailer for the upcoming movie was released on Universal Pictures’ official YouTube account last month.

    Ambulance is currently set to be made available to the public on February 18th of next year.
