Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley free live stream warning: Beware of these hidden costs

Channels that had thousands of subscribers were targeted by the legal action, as well as complete unknowns who allegedly only streamed the fight 300 times.

Not only that, but Triller also launched legal action against one person who claimed to have watched the Jake Paul fight for free – and demanded at least $150,000 in damages.

In the aftermath of the Paul Askren fight, the YouTube star parted ways with Triller, signing a deal with Showtime Boxing.

It remains to be seen whether Showtime will take a leaf out of Triller’s book and file widespread legal action towards those who could be involved in trying to pirate the Paul Woodley bout.

But Showtime has previously taken measures to clamp down on piracy – including action against those offering illicit live streams.

Showtime previously headed to the courts to sue those offering live streams of the blockbuster Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight.
