    Jason Momoa, 42, confirms he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now quarantining… four months into the shoot for Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom


    Jason Momoa went public and confirmed he has tested positive for COVID-19, and is currently isolating in his home in the UK.

    The Hollywood superstar, 42, initially broke the news in a video he posted on his Instagram Stories. 

    Momoa, who’s been shooting Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom in the UK since June, suggested that he may have contracted the virus when he attended the premiere for the epic science fiction film Dune, which he plays the role of Duncan Idaho.

    Momoa revealed that he has been in lockdown with professional skateboarder Erik Ellington. 

    ‘I got hit with COVID right after the premiere,’ Momoa said in the video, which started off with Ellington doing a skateboarding jump inside the home.

    Hinting that its hard to tell exactly where and when he was infected, Momoa added, ‘There’s a lot of people I met in England. Got a lot of aloha from people, and who knows.’

    Momoa added, ‘Either way, I’m doing fine and thank you for all your concerns and love.

    He went on to share that he’s camped out in his house, and that he has ‘some really cool stuff that is coming out that I want to share, but unfortunately I can’t leave the house.’

    The Sun initially reported Momoa discovered the diagnosis while filming Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom, with a source revealing that it would affect filming on the sequel.

    Having been temporarily sidelined from the shoot, Momoa is reportedly quarantining in an eight bedroom, 11 bathroom, £20million mansion in North London.           

    ‘Jason is fine luckily and is now isolating after getting a positive test,’ a source shared with the publication, adding, ‘Everyone is wishing him a speedy recovery and they’re looking forward to having him back on set [of Aquaman 2].’ 

    Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom is scheduled to be released on December 16, 2022.
