Their award outing comes as Jessica has been appearing at Venice to promote Scenes from a Marriage alongside her co-star Oscar Isaac.

Jessica and Oscar have known each other for years, but being old friends was a mixed blessing when it came to playing a married couple the new television miniseries, the pair said last Saturday.

Jessica and Isaac, who both studied at the Juilliard arts school and have been friends since college days, portray Mira and Jonathan in the HBO series.

An intimacy coordinator helped put the actors at ease when it came to filming sex scenes, but they were awkward nonetheless, she added.

‘I would still get embarrassed. Bourbon helped a lot.’

Scenes From A Marriage reimagines the Bergman classic through the lens of a contemporary American couple.

Jessica and Isaac broke the internet with their palpable chemistry after sharing a sexy red carpet moment that left titillated fans shocked that they are married to other people.

The co-stars were attending the premiere of their new HBO miniseries Scenes from a Marriage at the Venice Film Festival last Saturday when they sent Twitter into a frenzy with their sensual display.

Chastain was posing with her left arm draped around Isaac’s shoulder when he tenderly caressed her bicep. They shared a smoldering gaze before Isaac, 42, leaned over and kissed her arm, prompting Chastain to laugh and pull him in for a hug.

Chastain has been married to fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo since 2017, while Isaac wed his wife, filmmaker Elvira Lind, that same year.
