Joni Mitchell, 78, looked fabulous as she attended the Almost Famous opening in Manhattan’s Bernard B Jacobs Theatre on Thursday night.

The 10-time Grammy Award winner smiled as she was guided to her seat wearing a glamorous silk kimono with a tiger print trim and flowers embroidered up the flared sleeves.

Joni wore her long blonde hair in her signature braids and accessorised with a petrol blue flat-cap, dark sunglasses and matching pendant earrings and necklace.

The folk-singing legend added a pop of red lipstick and matching nail varnish, which could be seen as she clung to her walking stick while making her way into the venue.

Joni’s outing comes just days before she celebrates her 79th birthday.

She has rarely appeared in public since suffering an aneurysm in 2015. However, next summer she will headline her first concert in 23 years in Washington.
