The pup, which looked as if it was a pug crossed with a terrier, then got up on his hind legs as it played with Kate.

The dog later sat front and centre in a snap with Kate, Ana, Craig Robinson, and Ed Skrein.

Craig and Ed star alongside the Almost Famous performer in the flick, which tells the tale of a girl with unusual powers who escapes from a mental asylum and tries to make it on her own in New Orleans.

Despite its return, this year’s festival is still adhering to strict Covid guidelines, following a rise in cases in Italy.

Public access to the red carpet is banned, and more than 10 testing stations have been set up.

All attendees must show proof of a negative test or vaccination to enter a screen, and masks are required indoors.
