Kate announced during an interview with a Perth radio station on Tuesday that she would be leaving Western Australia in the coming days.

‘I’m about to go home for a bit, literally in six days,’ she said on The West Live.

However, she promised to return, adding: ‘I go back for work and [to] see my family. So I’ll be gone for a couple of months, but then I’ll be back!’

After completing her project in the U.S. she will head to Europe for another shoot before returning Down Under.

‘I can tell you this: I’ll be in Paris,’ Kate said of her European project, but didn’t provide any further details.

However, her clue strongly hinted at her involvement in the second season of Netflix hit Emily in Paris.

During her 15 months in Australia, the Private Practice star put down roots in Perth, on the country’s west coast.

She found herself ‘stuck’ in the Southern Hemisphere in March last year, right as the Covid pandemic began to shut down international travel.

Kate quickly fell for the country and decided not to return to New York.

She told The Daily Telegraph of her love affair with Australia: ‘I didn’t want to go back to New York in the middle of a pandemic when it was pretty gnarly to say the least.

‘I couldn’t go home initially, and now that I can, I don’t really fancy going back.

‘When I have my own mother saying don’t come home, my 86-year-old mum… we are in a very challenging time!’
