Katie Holmes spotted filming with co-star Julia Mayorga on the set of her latest directorial project Rare Objects in New York City
Katie Holmes is getting back to work as an actress, director, writer and producer on her new project Rare Objects.
The 42-year-old multi-hyphenate was seen running through the New York City set holding hands with co-star Julia Mayorga on Monday.
The co-stars were all smiles between takes as filming continues on this adaptation of Kathleen Tessaro’s 2016 novel of the same name.

Holmes was seen wearing a light blue top under a dark green coat as she ran through the set holding hands with Mayorga.
She was also wearing a flowing white skirt with black boots, while holding a black velvet pouch of some kind.
Production recently got under way earlier this month though it’s unclear how long principal photography will last for.

Mayorga was clad in a yellow top under a black coat, with a gold necklace and gold hoop earrings.
She was all smiles while running out of a building with a knee-length black skirt under black hosiery.
She was seen running in black heeled boots while carrying a black handbag as she filmed with Holmes on the set.

The story follows Mayorga’s character, who’s seemingly named Betina in the film but was named Maeve in the novel.
As she tries to escape her traumatic past, she starts working at an antique shop, where she runs into an old friend from her past, presumably Holmes’ character.
As she gets drawn further into her old friend’s world, she also gets guidance from the souls who inhabit the antique shop as well.
