EastEnders’ Kellie Bright, 45, reveals she’s savouring ‘precious moments’ with her third son, three months, as she rules out having any more kids

Kellie Bright has opened up about the birth of her third son and insisted that the baby will be her last.

The 45-year-old EastEnders star spoke to The Mirror about how she was desperate for a third child to complete her family with 38-year-old husband Paul Stocker, and went through IVF treatment.

Rudy Joy Stocker, who was born on the 22nd July, weighed 7lb 14oz and is the little brother of Freddy, nine and four-year-old Gene.

Kellie conceived naturally with her first born, but struggled with Gene and went through IVF to conceive him, and froze three embryos for later down the line.

She said: ‘I very much have the philosophy that because of the way we’ve had our children – going through IVF and the frozen embryo transfer – they are really meant to be here.’

She went on to say that she has been savouring these first moments with her baby because Rudy will be her last child.

‘I’m so tired, but it’s been amazing. I’m trying to savour every bit as these first few weeks are so precious and this is definitely my last!’

Kellie said in the chat that she felt like she was meant to raise boys and does not feel disappointed by not giving birth to a girl this time around.

She also revealed a hilarious moment during her birth where she had to kneel in a wheelchair while being taken to the labour ward after being induced at 37 and a half weeks.

‘I was in excruciating pain so they told me to kneel on [the wheelchair] and hold on to the back. So I was kneeling on this wheelchair while my waters were coming out of me. I’m in the throes of labour and this poor girl is having to wheel me down corridors.’

Continuing on, she said that her two other sons have adjusted well to the new addition, and have been making gifts for him with the nanny.

Her husband Paul has been a great help to her in these first couple of months while she has been breastfeeding, and has said in a previous interview that because he is a few years younger than her he is able to run after the kids better.

She added that she hasn’t introduced Rudy to any of the EastEnders cast but they have sent her their well wishes.

Kellie played her character Linda Carter in the soap throughout her pregnancy – which was written into the show.

Kellie previously fired back at criticism for having a baby at the age of 44 [now 45], saying ‘no one would bat an eyelid’ if she was a man.

Speaking to OK! magazine in a previous interview, Kellie noted her husband is several years younger than her and so has the energy to run after the kids.

She said: ‘First of all, if I was a man having my third child at 44, no one would bat an eyelid. Don’t forget my husband is much younger than me.

‘He’s in his thirties, so he’s still running around after the kids, which is great. We met when I was 31 and I didn’t want to jump straight into having kids.’
