Lando Norris and Sergio Perez hit out at Valtteri Bottas after multi-car crash

Valtteri Bottas caused a big crash at the start of the Hungarian Grand Prix and he must face the wrath of his fellow F1 drivers. The Mercedes star slipped from second place into the midfield and then drove into the back of Lando Norris.

That sent the McLaren star into the side of Max Verstappen, who was challenging Lewis Hamilton for the lead.

Those just behind the frontrunners got caught up in the melee meaning Norris, Perez, Bottas, Lance Stroll and Charles Leclerc all had to retire.

And Norris led the calls for Bottas to be punished for his actions.

“If I get a penalty for doing for not even doing anything wrong in other tracks, he should deserve a much bigger penalty than what I got,” the Brit said.

“We’ll see. I hope they have some common sense and do what they should do, but it’s not up to me at the end of the day.”

Red Bull star Perez was equally as angry after his race was brought to an end.

“It’s clear that Bottas just made a big mistake and took everyone out,” says Sergio Perez. “Definitely that was a big mistake and we leave it up to the stewards.”
