Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s five transfer targets as Reds ready to ramp up business

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will hope the club presses forward with securing his summer transfer targets following its latest sale. 24-year-old winger Harry Wilson is nearing a £12million move to Championship club Fulham, providing Liverpool with another influx of cash.

Wilson’s departure will mean the Reds have accumulated more than £30m from player sales alone this summer.

Klopp has also sanctioned the sales of Kamil Grabara, Liam Millar, Marko Grujic and Taiwo Awoniyi.

The outgoings in midfield and attack likely won’t stop there, with Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi tipped to follow those above out of the exit door.

Club captain Jordan Henderson’s future is also unclear after contract talks stalled as he entered the final 12 months of his current deal.

With £30m of revenue already generated and more to come, Express Sport look at who Klopp is targeting as he looks to bolster his squad.

    Midfield

With Liverpool yet to replace Georginio Wijnaldum, the club have unsurprisingly been linked with several midfielders.

However, there seems to be substantial interest in three – Renato Sanches, Youri Tielemans and Saul Niguez.

Sanches seems the most likely. His stock has risen after helping Lille win Ligue 1 last season, and his energy and power would help him fill the void Wijnaldum left.

Leicester City will value Tielemans too high, whilst Saul is closing in on a move to Barcelona as part of a swap deal, which will see Antoine Griezmann return to Atletico Madrid.

Currently at the forefront of reports are West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen and Ismaila Sarr.

Klopp is reportedly ‘a huge fan’ of Bowen, but Liverpool would probably be priced out of a move by West Ham this summer.

Sarr is more realistic after being linked with a big move away from Watford for the past couple of summer transfer windows.

It would reportedly take £40m for Watford to part ways with the 23-year-old forward, so his links to Liverpool are definitely worth keeping tabs on.
