Lizzo dons regal faux-fur cape quoting Lady Gaga in NYC… after condemning racism at Global Citizen Festival

Three-time Grammy winner Lizzo donned a regal b&w faux-fur cape while entering the luxury five-star hotel Park Hyatt New York in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday.

The cape featured a sash, which quoted 12-time Grammy winner Lady Gaga’s 2011 hit song Born This Way: ‘Don’t be a drag, just be a queen.’

The 33-year-old rapper-singer-flautist paired her outerwear with black pumps selected by stylist Jason Rembert.

Hairstylist Shelby Swain coiffed Lizzo’s high faux-nytail and make-up artist Alex Mayo made sure her faux lashes popped and her mauve pout was on point.

The Rumors hitmaker – who boasts 35.7M social media followers – wrote on Instagram on Sunday morning: ‘New York. it’s been real!’

Lizzo (born Melissa Jefferson) was in the Big Apple on Saturday to perform at Global Citizen Live in nearby Central Park.

At one point during the concert, the Cuz I Love You songstress got serious while condemning institutional racism in the States and defending critical race theory.

‘I have to shout out that the land we’re standing on is Seneca Village,’ Lizzo told the 60K-strong crowd.

‘Before it was Central Park it was Seneca Village. And if you don’t know what it is, that was an affluent African-American community that lived here [between 1825-1857]. And they were evicted and bulldozed so they could build this park.’

Indeed, approximately 1,600, predominantly black residents were reportedly evicted from Central Park under eminent domain in 1857.

The University of Houston drop-out continued:'We have to talk about the institutionalized racism that happens in this country all the time. And if we don't talk about our history constructively, how can we build a better future? It's time to talk about things, and it's time to make a change. And it starts within'

‘As we talk about climate change and making the world a better place and solving homelessness, we also have to talk about the institutionalized racism that happens in this country all the time,’ the University of Houston drop-out continued.
