On Wednesday, Louis announced his nationwide comedy tour via email, according to the New York Post.

The outlet reported that the email read: ‘Hello Person that you are being right now, I am writing you today because I am going to be touring around the United States of America, performing stand-up comedy comedy in theaters in several different cities.’

The tour is set to kick off on August at New York City’s Hulu Theater, located at Madison Square Garden.

The five month tour will make stops at 24 cities including Albany, San Diego, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Portland, Chicago and also Boston, per the outlet.

He will also do a series of stops in Europe.

The email noted that he will comply with COVID-19 protocol at each stop, signing it off with: ‘I’m really looking forward to seeing your faces as I tell some rather impolite jokes and stories.’

In November 2017, Louis C.K. was at the center of a New York Times article in which sexual harassment claims were made against him by five women, with most of whom saying he masturbated in front of them in nonconsensual and often bizarre circumstances.

The next day, the disgraced comedian released a statement about the allegations, confirming that the stories published were true, apologizing for the harm he had caused.

He said in the statement: ‘These stories are true. At the time, I said to myself that what I did was okay because I never showed a woman my d**k without asking first, which is also true.’

Adding: ‘But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your d**k isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly.’

His projects were pulled and fellow comedians severed ties with him following the allegations.

In 2018, he found himself in a scandal again after he made tone deaf jokes about the Parkland, Florida shooting during a comedy club appearance.

Last year he raised eyebrows when he released an $8 comedy special from his self-titled website and said in a statement its intended ‘for those who need to laugh’ in these times.
