Love Island Australia’s Ari Kumar is inconsolable after being sent home from the reality dating show in a shock double elimination

Ari Kumar was left inconsolable after being sent home from Love Island Australia on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old sat alone and sobbed after it was revealed she’d been eliminated from the villa, before the other girls rallied around her and comforted her.

The boys had been tasked with eliminating one of the girls, before deciding on Ari after she failed to find love in the villa.

Meanwhile, the girls had also been asked to eliminate one of the boys, deciding Ronni Krongold should go after doubting his genuineness.

But Ari took the news particularly badly, with the boys leaving the equally devastated girls to pick up the pieces.

‘We’ve just sent home one of the biggest energies in the villa, and it’s not going to be the same without her. It’s a huge loss,’ fellow Islander Tina Provis later said.

Added Courtney Stubb: ‘Ari has been so special in this journey. She is one-of-a-kind, she’s the strongest person I know, and I’m going to miss her so much.’

As devastation gave way to anger, Ari later admitted she felt betrayed by the boys’ decision.

‘I thought they were all my friends,’ she told Courtney, 23, and Jess Velkovski, who admitted they were equally as shocked.

Ari said she thought they would ‘have my back’, and both Courtney and Jess, 23, couldn’t help but agree with her.

Meanwhile, Ronni, 21, said that while he didn’t find love, he was happy to be leaving with good friends.

‘Obviously I didn’t find love, but what I did find is a bunch of the most amazing and unique friends I’m ever going to meet in my life,’ he told the boys.
